Fraud Alert: Multiple Scams

TurboTax Phishing Scam

If you receive emails that appear to be from TurboTax stating that “Your State Return Has Been Rejected,” please be aware that these are not from BankPlus or TurboTax. Please do not open the attachment and do not forward the email. Delete the email.

Phone Call and Text Message Phishing Scam

We have been made aware of a recent scam in which bank customers are contacted via phone call or text message and asked to provide sensitive information such as debit card numbers and other bank account information. The voice or text message may reference a "glitch" in the bank's system and ask you to call a 1-888 phone number to reactive your account. Some customers are being told their debit card is "blocked" and are prompted to enter personal information so that it may be reactivated.

Please note that BankPlus will never contact you and ask for your personal or account information.  If you receive such a call or text, or feel you may have been a victim of this scam, please call BankPlus customer service at 1-888-811-PLUS (7587) as soon as possible.
