Potential Fraud Warning
BankPlus has received notification of potential fraudulent text messages followed up by calls to our customers. Customers are receiving text messages that appear to be from BankPlus asking to verify a Zelle transfer. After replying to the text, customers are then informed that a BankPlus fraud specialist will be reaching out directly, at which point the callers may ask for online banking credentials or other personal information. Customers may also be instructed to avoid logging into their online accounts for a period of time (24 to 72 hours). Please note that BankPlus never calls and asks for information such as the username or password to your online banking account, your social security number or your account number.
